If the option is put up for a vote, I do not believe you will see eQSL
incorporated in to DXBase. For some reason there are some who believe that the
OPTION.yes, only an option to which no one is obligated. to log eQSL via DXBase
is a virtual slap to the "real" DXer. I, obviously, disagree."

I never gave a hoot about eQSL's because they were not acceptable for awards
programs

other than their in-house copycat awards. However, now I participate because
the eQSL's

can be accepted for CQ's WAZ and other awards. I'll always participate in
LoTW, as well.

It is a shame that LoTW credits are not acceptable by CQ, for whatever reason.
About a

year ago, I worked 9K2HN for a new zone on the 80m band. I received a very
prompt LoTW

confirmation which was acceptable for DXCC, but not for WAZ. Fortunately,
9K2HN also

responded to my request for a paper QSL so I could get credit for zone 21 on
80m. But,

what if he hadn't? Then I would have been in the position of holding a valid
confirmation

for the QSO, which counts only for DXCC awards.

So I'm grateful to CQ and eQSL for working out their new agreement.

Chuck Guenther NI0C
