Joe, Obviously, my mental model for how this works is wrong. I thought that when you clicked on qso's to add them to the labels list that an index of some kind for those q's was created and that when you then went into the label output and specified a particular label layout file that the program then went and got all of the calls from your q's list and generated the label outputs, including picking up variables such as "mycall," "myname," etc. Apparently, it is generating everything to go on the label, including the variables, before I even select which label layout file I am going to use. Maybe I can convert a label layout file so that it does not include the name at all and hence avoid having to manually change 120 labels.
