DXbase2006 users:

For those DXbase2006 users who wish to use them,
I have posted a ZIP file that contains THREE
standalone exe program files - which will check
you logbook mdb file's CQ and ITU Zones for
any errors. This ZIP file contains 4 files. PSE
UnZIP/Extract/Save all of the four files into your
DXbase2006 Main Directory.

** BACKUP your logbook mdb file !! **

(1) The first file ( usazonechecker.exe )
is for the USA (K, KH6, and KL7).
This program will check each of your USA QSOs which
contain a STATE in the QSO. The "first" button to
press will be the KH6/KL7 errors button. This routine
doublechecks any QSO PREFIXES (KH6/KL7) which "might" be
in error. Correct these QSOs' Entity PREFIX (manually yourself) first.
Then press the Test Only button. This will give you
a VIEW and COUNT of the USA CQ/ITU Zones which contain
a STATE - but contain the wrong Zone(s). THEN, if you
want -- press the Update button and the CORRECTIONS will
be written to your logbook mdb file.

(2) The second file ( RU_zonechecker.exe )
is for the Russian (UA, UA2, and UA0) QSOs.

Again, the "first" button to press will be the
UA/UA0 errors button. This will doublecheck for
any UA/UA2/UA0 QSO PREFIXES which "might" be in
error. Again - correct these QSOs (manually yourself)
to the proper Entity PREFIX. Then press the Test Only
button. This will give you a VIEW and COUNT of the
UA/UA2/UA0 CQ&ITU Zone(s) which are in error. THEN,
if you want -- press the Update button and the
CORRECTIONS will be written to your logbook mdb file.

(3) The third file ( otherzonechecker.exe ) is for
"the other" prefixes.. This program file USES the
( allother.mdb ) file. This program will check all of the
other ENTITIES of the world (less entities such as KC4 -
because this/these entities have just TOO MANY
possibilites to program around). The first button
to press for this program would be the Test Only button.
This will give you a VIEW and COUNT of the CQ&ITU Zone(s)
which are in error. THEN, if you want -- press the
Update button and the CORRECTIONS will be written to
your logbook mdb file.

I made 3 versions of the Zone Checker - because of
the magnitude of the CHECKs!!

There are various reasons why you could have a QSO(s)
with a CQ and/or ITU Zone error. But, suffice to say,
that the above 3 programs should assist in the correcting
of the errors. I and two other DXbase users have
already run each of the 3 programs.
