Bill, There are two ways you can check for new band-countries in DXB now without a band map.
If you connect to a DX spotting cluster and feed the spots into DXB the DX Info window will show you new ones for band or mode for that particular country. Go to Tools/Options/User Options... and click on the Alerts tab to set up what you want to display in the DX Info window including alert colors for the Need column. If you don't connect to a DX Cluster, but just enter the calls by hand as you hear them, keep an eye on the Summary window when you enter the call. The window will populate your stats for that country prefix (assuming you have HF-COUNTRY selected as the summary report). If you see an empty field for the band you're on work him! This is a new one! 73, Gary AL9A ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Parry" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: March 06, 2009 2:15 PM Subject: [Dxbase] Possible Upgrade >I often get on during SSB contests looking for new band-countries.
