Hi Peter,

I had done that before I got active again and the log wasn't correct. I'll
try it again and see what happens. I sync my PC clock pretty much every few
minutes. I'll try this again and thanks for the wake up call. I usually miss
the obvious when I drill into something simple! :-(

Thanks!

DX Base will log in UTC automatically by calculating the offset from the

system time that you have Windows set up for. If you've told your PC that

you're in US-Eastern, it will add 4 hours now and 5 hours when the time goes

back in the fall. Make sure your PC clock is set for the right time zone and

you don't need to do anything else to DX Base. Incidentally, you should also

periodically ensure that your clock is synchronized to NIST or other time

standards--either by doing it manually to WWV or else using an NTP app.

Subject: [Dxbase] DXB and UTC

I asked Scientific Solutions but have never received an answer so I'll ask

here. Is there a way to set a UTC/Zulu time offset so that DXbase will log

the time and day appropriately without having to put my PC clock on Zulu

time?

The old DOS version was capable of that but I can't find it in 2007.
