Neal, I agree that most of the VHF packet clusters have gone by the wayside and I Haven't used RF DX Cluster in several years.
I wonder what would be the benefit of being able to connect to 2 or more Clusters at the same time, seeing that most all the DX Clusters get all The same spots and are just passed around anyway? I just can't see any Benefit. 73 de Tony, KD4K -----Original Message----- From: dxbase-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dxbase-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Neal Campbell Sent: Sunday, October 11, 2009 6:15 PM To: DXBase List Subject: [Dxbase] VHF Packet Users? I just wanted to get an indication from you about your usage of VHF for packet clusters. I know that almost every sysop I know (myself included) have shut down their VHF ports a long time ago but there are some still offering the service. The reason I was asking was that I was considering moving towards allowing 2 internet DXCluster connections instead of 1 VHF and 1 Internet. How does this affect your operation? 73 Neal Campbell Abroham Neal Software www.dxbase.com www.abrohamnealsoftware.com www.sdrsystems.com (540) 242 0911 Amateur Radio: K3NC Blog: http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/blog/ DXBase bug reports: email to ca...@dxbase.fogbugz.com Abroham Neal forums: http:/www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/community/ DX Cluster: dxc.k3nc.com port 23 ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dxbase@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dxbase@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
