Bill, Yes - you could do that for the sake of the PREFIX. But, in the case of the 1x1 callsign (such as K4M) - it doesn't work on the auto-populating of the State, County, etc etc fields.
The 1x1 callsigns (for now) have to be handled individually and extra care taken to insure that the info is correct in all fields of the QSO logbook.
