John,

Usually what you describe indicates that you are using a 32bit registration 
key and what you need is one specifically made for 64bit.  If you have not 
asked for a 64bit registration, or if you have not modified your own 32bit 
registration for 64bit, then this is most likely the trouble.  Take a look 
at Neal's website for DXbase for further info.
