I get real lazy with pile ups so I downloaded cwtype and I just used that. With no com ports on the new pukers and it seems the comports that arent really there are already used so I bought 2 edgeport units and im using them for connections for my rig and various programs like MTTY and CW Type.. Dxbase stops at com 8 I think and that gives me the problem. I do have one edgeport that has a parallel port on it but id dismantled my cable so I figured id just go with one of the com cables I was using but it doesnt work .. The reason is im using com 9 i think and DxBase doesnt support it.. Matter of fact my radio is linked up via com 7 and MMTTY thru the port on the back of the rig is com 8 and im using com9 for cw get.. I do have come 10 also but its not being used at this time but may come into play for psk when I get off my lazy ass and make the connection :) 73 Dave N8DC ----- Original Message ----- From: "Al Burnham (K6RIM)" < [email protected] > To: "DXBase Reflector" < [email protected] > Sent: Monday, November 2, 2009 5:10:54 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: [Dxbase] Win 7 & DXBase Generated CW Just got a Win 7 (32-bit) computer and have been loading and configuring software. DXBase works fine, except that, so far, I cannot get it to generate CW using the internal DXBase keyer. Possibly cockpit trouble, but, yes, I did run dxbdvr and restart the computer, but no joy. Has anyone using Win 7 run into this issue, or is it just me?
