Stan: Tried your suggestion, but no joy: clicking on the shortcut brought up UAC window. I suspected that would happen, because earlier when I tried running the program(s) as an administrator (before you made the shortcut suggestion), the UAC window appeared.
So I'm still at square one - open for suggestions, folks!
