Hi all I just joined the reflector hoping for help with this topic. I got DXB back in 2006, as following a brain injury I could no longer remember what countries I still needed on 6m, which was my primary band of operation. I also migrated all of my paper logs for 160 contacts with the help of a friend locally who sat with me through all of the laborious input to ensure I did it right. Another ham locally had DXB, and I relied on him for help and support, which he gave freely. However, he's now left the UK for work and I have got stuck with a problem on callsign change. Ken, G8VR as he was passed earlier this year and left his callsign to me. I was honoured that he would leave me that call, but it's proving a headache as far as the use of DXB is concerned. I want to be able to migrate the database from my old call G0LCS into the new database as G8VR, but the difficulty is that at a certain date I was one call and later I was another. I want DXB to be able to recognise I am the same person and tell me what I still need DXCC wise, whilst continuing to add new ones worked to my score as the now G8VR. I hope I am making myself clear. So far I have a DXB log as G0LCS and I've created another as G8VR, but the only way I can know what I have and have not worked is to print a paper assesment whilst looking at my G0LCS log. All of the cluster alerts are wrong when I operate DXB as G8VR, as of course it thinks I have not worked anything! Can anyone help with this? I don't mind buying a new version of DXB, it's just I need it to work for me! 73's Kerry - G8VR (prev G0LCS) ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected]
