Knut, I know they are different systems, but AXETTY runs fine for me under Vista Home Premium 32 bit. As Joe has said, to modify the macros RIGHT click on an F key to open the macro editing window. Here you can label the F key with a new title and edit or add new macro code. You can also call an existing txt file of info to be sent - station info, antennas, personal stuff, etc.
With 4 banks of 12 macros in each bank Joe has certainly provided ample possibilities for various macros. I find I get confused by what macros do what despite the reminder note that pops up when you put the cursor on the macro button. I've tried to arrange my macro banks into different operating scenarios. For example, Macros 1 (Home) has macros for rag chewing. Macros 2 is for S&P when chasing DX. Macros 3 is for calling CQ and running (hopefully) a pile up. Macros 4 is undefined at the moment. Your could probably use a bank for contest exchanges, but as Joe has indicated AXETTY is really just for casual operating and lacks several contest features such as sequential numbering and dupe checking. If you want contest performance you need to check out various contest loggers. I use WriteLog with the MMTTY plug in so the RTTY interface between DXBase and WriteLog is very similar. I believe several other contest loggers (NIMM?) also use the MMTTY engine for their RTTY interface. 73, Gary AL9A ----- Original Message ----- From: "Knut Meland" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: December 22, 2009 1:48 PM Subject: [Dxbase] How to edit macros in AXETTY? Thanks Joe, for the efforts with AXETTY. I have tried it, and would like to use it in some contests, I hope... I would like to modify the keyboard hotkeys (macros), but havn't cracked the code. Tried to edit the file containing the macro strings, but it didn't work. Is there a secret in the software or in my Vista Home Professional 64x ? 73 de Knut LA9RY From: "Joe WA6AXE" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: December 20, 2009 7:25 PM Subject: [Dxbase] DxbPSK version 2.30 is now available - Joe wa6axe Gary and all DXbase users: I have just posted the updated version 2.30 of the DxbPSK.exe program at my website. The LINK is at the "top of the webpage" at: http://www.navycthistory.com/wa6axe/selection.html Background: Gary (AL9A) found a bug in my DxbPSK.exe program -- where the SLASHED-ZERO was sent over to DXbase itself -- this is the same bug that AXETTY had -- and I shud have caught it and made the correction when I posted version 2.29 ... Tnx Gary for BETA testing the program once again!!! 73 Joe wa6axe _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Trusted email with Microsoft’s powerful SPAM protection. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/177141664/direct/01/ ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
