Please find attached a k3 definition file.
to use
back up your radios.ini file (make a copy some place..)
open it up in windows notepad
open the attached file
paste the contents on to the end of your radios.ini file
restart dxbase and select Elecraft and K3
ensure your port speed matches the K3's set port speed (usually 4800 or
38400) and you select word length 8, parity none, Stop bits 1 (or2)
DTR and RTS lines may be used to activate PTT/CW keying (this is set as
a menu function on the k3) so do not check these options, CTS is also
not used
If you run into any issues please let me know, i have been using dxbase
with my k3 for quite a while now
