HI Again Thanks again for the replies, I have now got the laptop that started this problem back up & running using none destructive recovery mode however it removed all my programs that I had installed but left the laptop as it was new with just basic programs by ms installed. I have installed dxbase to this pc so I have now copy on two computers but not imported my mdb files yet to either pc.As mentioned in my last email no hurry to do that.
