Hi Merle

Take the suit off, I think you are among friends here! I have read your note
4 times and I cannot find a single point I disagree with, in fact I think
you have identified what I see as the true strengths of the program.

The labeling part of the program will not change, only be enhanced with the
upgrade of the core system from version 10 to 15.

The reporting part is currently driven by Crystal Reports and will likely
remain that way. My only desire here is to make it so poor Joe isn't the
only one creating reports. I promise Joe will be the main advisor on
anything affecting reports, and given the volume of them out there and the
fact they work so well, its not a high priority of mine to make them
incompatible.

I own the same library that is the core of DXAtlas and over time will
integrate it fully into DXB and I am sure that the pins developed by Joe
will also work when that happens. Again, though, its working really well and
DXAtlas is a program worth supporting so I have no plans to change this with
version 10.

I thought long and hard abt making the necessary changes only to support the
security features of Vista/Win7. Given the speed of my programming, I think
this is a mistake as it would take about the same time as to get the version
10 beta out. I plan to write a small program to eliminate the need to
manually adjust the reg file depending on which operating system you use,
but I plan to stay otherwise 100% focused on the release/
