Neal and the Group...

If the forum was going to be used just for the applications to which you
refer it would be fine - Yes a place to store information...

I have in the past though belonged to other forums - I am quite familiar
with them and at some time or another most turn into a dumping ground for
useless information and comments.. I have opted out of a few over the years
because of this..

What is the matter with Yahoo -- It keeps my virus program busy I can tell
you that -- when I do get stuff through Yahoo I have to go in and check to see
what has been dumped because it was thought to be Spam -- surprise surprise
more half of it is Spam..

  Hi Jim

If you do not need/want to have new releases of the updater, dxcluster
definition files, etc. then you do not need to immediately join. Its a
convenience to me for not having to create/update web pages every time some new
file is available that could help people.

If others will use it, we could make it a one-stop shop for new utilities,
reports, labels, etc and you will be getting something for very little pain. If
I see a "tipping point" of current email reflector users are signed up, then I
might consider consolidating.

BTW, what is the complaint against Yahoo? Seriously, I have never had a
second of heartburn with them, so I do not know (nor have looked at others who
don't like them)?

I also do not like the thoughts of joining a user group to get information
that that is/was posted on the reflector and archived for past postings of
    interest...

When mail comes through on the reflector that I am not interested in -- I
just plain and simple don't open it -- Example -- LOTW -- I have absolutely
no interest in LOTW so why would I open mail directed to that subject ...
Another instance -- INI Files -- I am not one to buy new radios unless I am
forced to do so,,, My 950SD is now 20 years old and I still see no need for
change so Ini files are of no use to me and I feel that INI files should be
archived on the DxBase site for that time when I or anyone else for that
matter is in need of that information..

Now I am going to have to wade through all of this on Yahoo to look at and
decide if I want to read it... Not really my cup of tea - thank you very
    much...

I have been a faithful user since day 1 but My hope is that I will not have
to use another outlet to find out information about the logging program --
On top of that Yahoo.com SUCKS..
