ALL OMNI-VII users:
Heads-up for right now ... hopefully by tmrw, YOU WILL be able to have
DXbase SET the FREQ/MODE/ and SPLIT on your OMNI-VII Xcvr !!!!!
I know that it has been a long time in the coming -- but, this (for you guys)
is really great news!! I will email the Reflector(s) once again tmrw/when zip
is ready
with info abt the download location(s) for the ZIP file!!!
Background: 3 days ago, after playing with the DXbase -> OMNI-VII comms,
I had the STRONG hunch that the one routine that was needed for the OMNI-VII
was not quite working properly ... In follow-up to that hunch (and that's all
it
was 3 days ago) -- further research revealed that the one routine could be
modified within the Dxb2007.exe file ..
I contacted Neal and send him the modified code that I had made for that
one routine ... and, asked if he could RECOMPILE that Dxb2007.exe file for
DXbase2007 -- which he has done (Thanks Neal!!!) -- then after I rcvd the
modified exe file for DXBase2007 (and ONLY Dxbase2007), I have been
in contact via phone with Ed (AB4IQ) and we have (this afternoon) finally
come up with a WORKING Radios.ini file entry that in conjunction with the
NEW Dxb2007.exe file - and the ONE and ONLY working TenTec OMNI-VII
Radios.ini file entry (working in the sense that before you could only RCVE
info -
but could never SENT info to your rig) has been fully PROOFED and will be
ready for including in the ZIP file ....
I wanted to give the OMNI-VII users an advanced heads-up on this good news..
More TMRW or next day -- but, it will be soon!
