GM to all users!
I know that there are some questions from many users about this new
PSKCore.dll (300Kbyte) file. Let me try to put everyones mind at ease on
what you have to do versus what you can do.
First - the MACROS, COLORS, etc (all settings) are maintained in your
computer's REGISTRY .. and, ONLY when a change is made to the
DXBPSK.exe program file itself (version #) - will the MACRO's then
have to be reinstated.
Second - For users who have for years been able to run the DXBPSK
program successfully, you have two choices:
(a) Stay as you are - do not download anything. You WILL be all ok.
or
(b) Download the ZIP file and extract/save ONLY the PSKCore.dll file.
You will NOT lose anything at all. Just let the new 300Kbyte version of
the PSKCore.dll file over-write the previous version.
NOTE: Since, after testing for 7 hrs yesterday with Neal - to be able to
get his XP machine to run DXBPSK2.30, this NEW PSKCore.dll file WAS
the one file THAT MADE IT ALL OK! So, for the sake of my own enviroment
here - I am pesonally going to switch over to the 300kbytes sized PSKCore.dll
file - to
be in concert with what Neal will be using also.
I wanted to be able to make this new ZIP file available - so that ANY DXBase
users
WHO HAVE NOT been able to run DXBPSK2.30 could in fact try to run by using
the New PSKCore.dll file.
Any further questions - I am available with answers via return email.
