Dave thanks for the help, it appears that DXbase ignores any path I created a directory /callbk at the root of the drive and unpacked the downloaded database there
that works moving the callbk directory to /QRZ/callbk and adding /QRZ (or /QRZ/ ) as the path does not work something is broken here ;-) However having /callbk at the root of the drive works Incidentally the Full installer from qrz.com's download installs the software AND database in program Files so for these folks they are goign to have to move the databse directory to the root of the drive then reconfigure the QRZ.com supplied application to find the new location Good to finally get it working though Next a DLL to use the live XML feed would be nice ;-) On 09/03/2011 22:30, Dave Gmail wrote: > In the directories folder, enter E as YOUR cd rom drive, skip path and > select cdrom type as qrz! > > > BUT, path MUST be kept the same as it is on the cd.. so your would have to > be in e:\callbk NOT \qrz as you want > > > Then add check mark to "activate", and your choice for auto screen look up > > > Hope this helps > > > Dave > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > On Behalf Of Brendan Minish > Sent: March-09-11 4:10 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Dxbase] QRZ database > > I have access to the download version of the QRZ database, how do I > configure this so that DXbase can use it > I have unpacked the directory to a folder called QRZ on my second hard > drive > > E:\QRZ\ > > I am using dxbase 2007 on windows XP SP3 > If it's not possible currently then could Neil come up with an updated > DLL please? > Preferably one that can also use the live XML feed that basic > subscribers to QRZ get access to > > in an ideal world DXB would be able to use multiple databases, Such as > my old copy of RAC as a fall-back when the primary database does not > return good data > -- 73 Brendan EI6IZ ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
