My first attempt to install generated this error message almost at the end
of the install.

'The windows Install Service cannot update the System File
C:\windows\system32\p2pntsh.dll because the file is protected by windows.
You may need to update your operating system for this program to work.' My
options were OK or Cancel.

I chose OK and the install finished, creating the necessary Desktop Icon.

When I clicked on this icon I got the same error message. I uninstall and
reinstalled. The same error message showed up again but when I clicked OK
the install finished, as it should. This time, when I opened DxBase using
the Desktop Icon the program opened as it should. I entered my name and
callsign. All is good, you'd think. I confirmed my .mdb and my .co was
correct, but it indicated both those files were in C\:\DXBase2007. So I hit
ok and off we go. Problem is, the log brought up under my .mdb was in fact
Jack old original data base file. And the most of the layout was changed
along with the columns.

Short of restacking this deck again, can I simply cut and past the files
from the old DxBase2007 folder to the new one. I have all my .mdb, .ini,
Etc, saved in backup. Would this get the job done or is there a better way.

By the way, what was all that stuff about p3pntsh.dll all about? Is that
problem affecting what is happening now?

Thanks in advance Neal and Joe. I know you will put the finishing touches
the this .o9 real soon.
