Ron and Joe,

In Version 1.09 of DXbase2007 -- you CAN print or preview the EXISTING cardback
file(s) ... no problem
there --- the only thing to remember is that IF you take the existing crd file
into the Label DESIGNER Module --
it will simply WARN you that when you save the file under this version of the
COMBIT s/w -- that that
file is no longer usable with DXbase Ver 1.08 and backwards ....

But - If you are running ver 1.09 -- BOTH OF YOU -- then there is NO PROBLEM at
all ... Ron, the only
problem that can come into play is when you have a crd or lbl file that WAS
MADE in DXbase2000 (OLD OLD OLD ONE)
-- then, that file has to be handled completely differently ... but, most users
have take those DXbase2000
files into their DXbase2005/2006 label designer and updated them ... IT will
be extremely RARE if you have
a crd or lbl file that has never been touched by anything but one of those OLD
OLD OLD versions of DXbase ...

You are good to go Ron - on your color version ... in the ver 1.09 designer ...

Thanks for pointing that out to Joe K0BX. That card design is mine, and I use
it exclusively. In the folder ..dxbase 2007\labels you will find a PDF
describing how to use it as well, with photos of the great results. Find
CardBack_9Q.pdf and open it for a look.

I was working on an enhancement to these, including optional color if your
printer permits. However I have been distracted, but I need to look at these
again as I am concerned that with updates to the label software in DXBase that
there might be compatibility issues to resolve before the next release.
Is there a change in version 1.09 that effects labels? If
I have to work on labels to get compatibility 1.09 will that likely extend to
the next major release?
I had promised Neal that I would get this done in time, but so far I have been
a bit tardy.

Joe,

Yes -- that file is a file that is already included in DXbase2007 ... check the
Labels directory for:

CardBack_9Q_Black_centered.crd

or

CardBack_9Q_Color_centered.crd
