FYI -- If you can not find the version # for the config for TQSL Certificates program within the config.xml file ---
YOU CAN open the TQSL Certificate program itself (tqslcert.exe) and go to Main Menu / Help -- About ... and, look in that window and you will see the Configuration version # -- most recent is V1.19 Joe wa6axe To: [email protected]; [email protected] From: [email protected] Date: Tue, 8 Nov 2011 17:20:18 -0600 Subject: [dxbase] Everyone pse read -- this is about LOTW config.tq6 file ALL: I learned something new today!! Anyone who is uploading their logbook QSOs to the LOTW website .. PSE go to the LOTW website and be sure and (if you haven't done so recently) download the NEWEST config.tq6 file from the LOTW website. Background: I was working with Ian (G4GIR) on a SAT issue - when I discovered something I had NOT KNOWN before!! The config.tq6 file that you download from the LOTW website contains ALL of the LOTW acceptable variables -- and, as such, you MUST be working from the most recent one - or, you MIGHT have an error when you make your TQ8 file ... I was looking thru the config.xml file -- which for me (XP MACHINE) is located in: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\TrustedQSL directory -- and I noticed that the info in my current one I had was NOT uptodate ... so, I went to the LOTW website and downloaded the newest config.tq6 file and OPENED that config.tq6 file with the TQSL program and it write my NEW config.xml file all OK -- and VOILA -- the newest info was there now --- You can get to your config.tq6 file by going to LOTW website -- LOG IN to your account -- then go to "Your Account" -- then go to "Your Certificates" -- now -- look for the LINK that says: Download current TQSL Configuration file (Last updated 2011-10-07 17:02Z) THIS is the most current version of the config file ... I will be ALSO posting (later on tonight hopefully) -- an UPDATE to my AutoLOTW program -- so that the SAT QSOs will have the SAT_NAME and PROP_MODE fields as part of the adi file that my program makes ...
