I don't see the point, here. Windows 7 introduced a lot of 
non-trivial changes while Windows 8 is simply vaporware.

I find DXBase does everything I need with the capability to do lots 
that I either don't know about or haven't yet needed. But even better 
is that it doesn't do stuff unasked that I don't need. A lot of 
people find it necessary to have the newest stuff because it's, 
well... New. Especially with software, there be dragons.

DXBase is a mature program with sufficient support to meet community 
needs. Nothing about it is broken. Neal is working on a new version 
that incorporates many new features and as work proceeds he wants to 
insure that we don't wind up as beta testers that have to pay for the 
privilege.
