I have just purchased a new Win7 computer and installed DXBase on it. I use
microkeyer and an Icom ProIII. I have had the exact same setup on my old XP
computer for years. When I go into tools/options/CW options/ CW interface
screen and select K1EL winkey, then click OK, the program is ignoring the
selection and just reverts out of tools/options/etc. without even an error
message If I immediately go back in I find "none" checked, not K1EL Winkey. The
radio is on, microkeyer is on, the comport selection is correct in both
microkeyer and DXBase CW options/Winkey, and microkeyer can successfully put
the radio in transmit and send the t-e-s-t test message in CW over the radio.
But DXBase will not let me make the selection in the CW options that is
required to send CW through the program.

If the software accepted the selection and then wasn't sending CW we could look
for a hardware problem perhaps, but this doesn't even get as far as actually
sending CW. why would dxbase reject my choice??? (incidentally the program
won't let me make any other choice on that screen either - they all revert to
"none".)

hope someone has an idea.
