I had this happen a couple times.  I fixed it by copying over the dxbase 
files from a backup copy.  Don’t copy over your MDB log file or the 
refdata.mdb file, but I copied over the operating files for dxbase and it 
fixed it.  I guess some file in there gets corrupted.  It seems to happen if 
dxbase doesn’t close properly for some external reason.  It is intermittent 
though here.
