David, I think there are a couple of work arounds to your problem, neither of which is completely automatic. Because you work both PSK63 and OLIVIA the term DIGITAL includes both modes which TQSL cannot handle. DXB handles this by using the Submode field. The trick is to identify for TQSL which submode you want to be the "DIGITAL" mode when you upload.
First, look at the DXB User Options window. Note the section called "Dxb PSK Interface". The box titled "Default PSK mode" is set for DIGITAL. The next box, "Default PSK SubMode" is set for PSK31. If you click on the down arrow in the "Default PSK SubMode" dropbox you will see multiple SubModes that can be used to further describe "DIGITAL". PSK63 is not in this list, but both PSK63F and OLIVIA are. So if you first set the Options window SubMode to whatever DIGITAL mode you are working, DXB will include that submode in your log. When you switch to a different submode you will have to change the Options window again to reflect the new submode. For existing DIGITAL contacts already in your log you can manually change the Submode field by clicking on that field and then selecting the correct submode from the dropbox list. Essentially you need to edit your log so that the Submode field contains the correct submode for that DIGITAL contact. Once that is correct in your log you can use the Selection Wizard QSO Filters to create two different ADIF files, one for Mode = DIGITAL and Submode = PSK63F, the other for Mode = DIGITAL and Submode = OLIVIA. Each of these files must then be uploaded in turn to LOTW. TQSL still won't recognize your DIGITAL modes until you edit it to create the correct ADIF file extension that TQSL expects. The way to do this is described in the TQSL Help files. Start TQSL and click on File/Preferences and then click on the ADIF Modes tab. The box "Custom ADIF mode mappings:" is probably empty. You need to create a mapping for how TQSL handles your DIGITAL ADIF import files. Click on the Add... button and in the "ADIF Mode:" box enter "DIGITAL". In the "Resulting TQSL mode:" box select name of the submode used to create this ADIF file, say PSK63F, and click the OK button. The "Custom ADIF mode mappings:" box now shows "DIGITAL -> PSK63F" and TQSL will now properly load your ADIF file containing PSK63 contacts as the DIGITAL mode. To load your other ADIF file with the OLIVIA contacts you must again edit the TQSL Preferences and delete the "DIGITAL -> PSK63F" mapping and replace it with a new mode mapping of "DIGITAL -> OLIVIA" and then upload the OLIVIA ADIF file contacts. As I said, this trick in not completely automatic because it requires a lot of submode switching in DXB and switching custom ADIF mode mappings in TQSL, but it is a way to get LOTW to accept your different DIGITAL modes. 73, Gary AL9A ----- Original Message ----- From: "David VE3VID" <ve3...@hotmail.com> To: <dxbase@mailman.qth.net> Sent: July 22, 2012 8:10 AM Subject: [Dxbase] Editing ADIF for LoTW > > While trying to prepare an ADIF for upload with a couple months QSOs for > LoTW, the Trusted QSOs signing program tells me it does not like the term > "DIGITAL" which DXbase2007 putS in the ADIF file.
