You can set DXbase to allow you to browse for another database: Tools > Options > User Options. I find it interesting that it cannot open a renamed version of a known good database. I'm not even at a point where the program will run. Just fails immediately with the above error. I have un-installed it, removed the directory but apparently the registry values for the program are not deleted as it wants to always open "k8fc" right after a clean installation and a prior dxbase directory removal. So, at the moment I am dead in the water on this pc. Thanks in advance if you have an idea of what the next steps are.
