Check for the old dxbase ini file may have been left in Windows folder, and
it may be referring to the wrong dxbase folder now. Remove it and
reinstall, or edit with notepad, or similar, and check and correct the paths

Subject: [Dxbase] re-installation issue

I decided to clean off the two previous versions of DXbase2007 and reinstall
the latest version off Neal's web site. this is on W7 64 bit.

I uninstalled both of the previous versions and did a fresh install which
appeared to run with no issues. The install was into C:\Amateur
Radio\DXbase2007

When I started the fresh install, it asked me which database to open but not
asking me for the normal new install information like call sign. When I try
to start it using the Trial.mdb database in the new install director, it
gives me the following error message:

"The database you selected is not compatible with this version of DXbase.
Try again and choose the right database. DXbase will now abort."

And it did exit.

It would appear that the old registry information was still hanging around.
Shouldn't the uninstall procedure clean up the registry?

How to proceed?

Jim/N1NK
