Neal,

I had already done that. I didn’t realize that that change was made at that
time. So I just checked my DXBase and found the E6 already knows that it is
Niue. Guess that I don’t have a problem. I assumed that this was something
new. I sure hope that the new version of DXBase will somehow automate this
kind of change.

The best thing to do is to download Joe's update program which will change
the prefix, fix all the qsos relevant to the change and make you a nice cup
of coffee to boot!

What will happen if you simply change the country to ZK2 when you work this

Go to Tools/Database Access/Country Prefixes, then the Alias Map tab.

Find ZK2 on the list and delete the line mapping it to Primary Prefix ZK2.
Click on another line to save the change.

Go to the Primary tab, and find ZK2 on the list. Make a note of all the
information on that line.

Go to the blank line at the end of the list. Enter E6 in the Prefix field,
and all the information noted from ZK2 in the step above EXCEPT FOR THE
ARRL-ID field. Leave that field blank for now, or you will get an error
message. Click on another line, then exit out of the Prefix Database
completely to save the change.

Return to Tools/Database Access/Country Prefixes, then go to the Alias Map
tab. On the blank line at the end of the list, Enter E6 in the Map Pfx
field, and enter E6 in the Pri Pfx field. Click on another line to save the
change.

Exit the Prefix Database.

Go to View/Previous QSOs. In the QSO Field, select "Prefix". In Value to
Find, enter ZK2. Click on the Find button.
You should now have a list of all previously entered ZK2 qsos. Change the
Prefix field for each qso to E6. Exit the Previous QSOs window.

Go back to Tools/Database Access/Country Prefixes, then the Primary tab.
Find ZK2 on the list and delete this line.

Go to the E6 line and in the ARRL-ID field enter "188". Click on another
line to save the changes, then exit out of the Prefix Database.

Initialize tables, then check that all DXCC Statistics are correct. Try
entering a qso with any E6 callsign to be sure the Prefix field fills
automatically with E6 (remember to delete this qso when finished).

Changes are finished.

I went through the whole procedure again to be sure everything worked, so
don't think I missed anything.

Tim - N3XX

E6 is the new Prefix for Niue, so E6 callsigns should no longer be mapped
to
ZK2. Instead, changes to show E6 as the Primary Prefix for Niue should be
made in your Country Prefix database on the Primary and Alias Map tabs.
That way, future E6 callsigns will be recognized as Niue, and no callsign
  mapping will be necessary.

After making this change, you will need to go to each of your previous
contacts with Niue, and change the Prefix field to E6.
