Dave

Here is the stuff Joe wrote earlier in the year. WIn7 and Win8 are the same
in this regard so you can follow along at home.

ALL:

First -- some of us were very much disappointed with what we had to do
with Windows 7 64 bit to get things to work properly !!! We really thought
Windows 7 was a PITA -- well -- welcome to Windows 8 !!!!

I will NOW - try to detail the steps that I TOOK to be able to get dao350.
dll
REGISTERED on my Windows 8 64bit LapTop computer ..

NOTE!! -- there MIGHT be other ways to do this - but, this method was the
one I used -- and it worked all ok:

NOTE #2 !! -- this GUIDE assumes that you HAVE already SAVED the dao350.dll
file to your C:\Program Files (X86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO
directory and that you have made sure that the dao350.dll file is NOT
BLOCKED.

(1) Bootup your Windows 8 64 bit computer
(2) Log onto your computer
(3) The Start window should now be seen
(4) Right-Click the Mouse -- you should now see (BOTTOM of the display)
the words "All apps" - left click on those words -- Now, the "Apps" window
should
be viewable.
(5) Scroll to the RIGHT in that window - until you SEE the "Command Prompt"
words and it's ICON.
(6) Move your mouse cursor over the ICON/Words "Command Prompt" - then
Right-click on that ICON - down at the Bottom of the window you will now see
various OPTIONS -- Left-Click on the words/ICON for "Run as administrator"
(7) The Command Prompt window should NOW be available -- AND -- the window
WILL SHOW "Administrator: Command Prompt" -- indicating that the command
prompt
NOW has the Administrator privileges.

The command prompt should be showing that you are in the

C:\Windows\system32

directory
(8) VERY CAREFULLY - Manually type-in the following (EXACTLY AS IS) :

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (X86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.
dll"

Once you press the ENTER KEY - you should see the small pop-up window
that says that the DLL file was in fact REGISTERED.

NOTE!! If your computer system is using a FOREIGN language - your line of
info
MIGHT be different than the above -- because of your LANGUAGE used!! Adjust
accordingly.

This method worked 100% all ok for me -- hopefully it will work for you all
too.

Gud Luck!
