The ldb file is just a "lock" saying that a program has the mdb database open. When you quit the program, it removes the ldb file.
The stats are in the log itself. I would create a new log file, then quit DXBase, open up the DXBase Import program and import the old log into the newly created one. Then run DXBase with the new log and recalculate your statistics.
