For many years, I have always wondered why some of the European computer users of DXbase2007 - could NOT use my BRIDGES successfully!!
Now - Eric (ON7RN) -- has SOLVED the answer to that question.. Here are the words I just rcvd from Eric: //quote// GM Joe, Well, the tests are running very good. Your bridge is functional here (as said yesterday). I was talking with one of my friend (ON5PV) who is also a DXBase user, and he tried your bridge without success. So, I have had a look at my config and see that I had also installed the keyboard English version (US version). But I continue to use my french keyboard without problem (he is as default). Phil, ON5PV, checked his config. No US keyboard installed. He has installed the US keybaord and ....... your bridge was working also by him. And (see attachment) look at the config I put on DXBase. That's for the people using the new FT8 mode. I have no problem with this options even if I work in PSK31. So, for the european users of DXBase, they must install the US keyboard but they can continue to use their proper keyboard (for the french one - "Belgium one", no problem : your bridge works very well). So, it's maybe a solution for the european guys who are using DXBase. That's my piece of cake !! HI. Don't know now if it will be working with the others. They must try. That is the latest news I can give you on my tests. Have a good day, 73's de Eric - ON7RN //end of quote// Installing the US Keyboard is the was to solve the problem. BIG THANKS to Eric (ON7RN) for his testing!! 73 Joe wa6axe Joseph Glockner wa6...@verizon.net ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dxbase@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
