I think all of us who are using DXBase would like to see it survive. My
version, the latest, is doing the job for me. My fear is at some point,
the efforts of MS to obsolete every OS they release will eventually
render the program unusable. I'm a DXer, not a computer/software
enthusiast so I have no idea if this is an issue.
When I upgraded to Windows 7, Neal graciously helped me with the
installation which I couldn't have made happen myself. Anyway, I'm a
loyalist.

community on this forum; like any open forum, some of that should probably be
expected, and doesn’t necessarily reflect the temperature of all the members.
Let’s not let this be an entry to debate, I just wanted to voice my hope that
we could see DXBase advance in some fashion.

Hello Neal,
A little over a year has passed. I was wondering if you had any updates since
we last exchanged e-mails.
Thanks

(Any release date updates?)

During Dayton this year, I decided that I was going to take a different
approach for DXBase as my desire to deal with some of the members of the
community had dropped dramatically and obviously their appreciation of me had
also.
I still have not fully decided on how to open the program up so selected,
trusted developers could contribute changes and control the situation. There
are several proprietary packages that cannot be passed around and likely would
need to be replaced. The charges of the program will be removed when I can get
this worked out (as well as the licensing).
