Welcome back Sunwoman. I like your attitude towards your diabetes. I am also had diabetes for over 20 years, I always have a positive attitude, and this would let me be very catious and watch my glucose level and most important my A1c. and for the young lady who asked the important question I say that watch, and exteremly watch you A1c level. what is an A1c is the measure of your glucose level over a period of few months (may be someone else would technically describe it) but the key is if it is elevated above certain level (8.0 or higher) you will face neuropathy which will affect the nerves and will affect sex life and vision and so many other areas.
