Hosted and organized by The Egyptian Diabetes Association Chairman Prof. Morsi Arab Chair of IDF-MENA Region Patrons H/E Minister of Health and Population Prof. Hatem El Gabaly H /E Governor of Alexandria General Adel Labib It is great pleasure that the Egyptian Diabetes Association is collaborating with the Regional Office of the Middle East and North Africa Region of the International Diabetes Federation , to organize this group of activities in the city of Alexandria . These activities will follow the annual meeting of the MENA Regional Council .Delegates from allover the MENA Region shall therefore be the active speakers at a workshop that will design an action plan to transfer the recommendations of the United Nations Resolution on Diabetes into implementation procedures at both regional and national levels . Updates in diabetes care and diabetes prevention , together with two training courses for physicians and nurses ,are intended to enrich this MENA regional activity with additional scientific and clinical applications . The International Diabetes Federation , represented by its current Leaderships: President , Prof. Martin Silink and President Elect , Prof. J.C. Mbanya are deeply concerned with an evolutional development of the IDF and an active implementation of the much valued global awareness that was created by the declaration of the UN Resolution . Therefore , this regional activity is getting their strong support The events and procedures to take place in Alexandria are much hoped to be a constructive landmark in this direction .
