Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 has just been release and has a javascript debugger
in it. This is the blurb from their website:

"Debug client-side JavaScript directly in your browser. The new JavaScript
Debugger lets you watch JavaScript execute in Netscape Navigator or Internet
Explorer, helping you understand how each browser implements JavaScript.
Debug your code by setting breakpoints and then watching your variables
update as you step through the code."

Haven't tried it myself. If it actually works it will be fantastic, the
first cross-browser client side debugger for javascript!?

I thinks there is different debuggers for Netscape and for
IE (latest you have tried to install).

For Netscape - look at http://developer.netscape.com for
"Visual JavaScript". It is written in Java - and run as an applet in
same Netscpae. But asks permissions for "Universal.debug" or something
and for reading local files from JS/Java.
