Doc Oliver,
This stuff is cool!
I couldn't resist trying this, and it works!
It seems quite logical when you think about it, why didn't I think of that!
I put up an example here:
Doc_Oliver_Examples
Form_Submitting.html
http://www.richardinfo.com/?menu=examples&node=18
It still has a few bugs, NS6 doesn't load second time, and displays the
label much to big, NS4 sometimes gives errors, but these are more due to the
form and image being nested in a layer than to the principle itself. I'll
fix them later.
Also I have to change the script so the cookie is deleted before it's
written to again, otherwise it grows and grows.
As my site isn't NS6/mac compatible yet, you can use this direct link to
test these:
http://www.resass.f2s.com/dynapi/Doc_Oliver_Examples/Form_Submitting.html
I'm not saying this is better/worse than MP's java applet, of which I'll put
up an example soon, it's just a nice alternative.
Cheers,
Richard Bennett
