Darryl Cousins "unofficial" help file is now on the official dynapi site, under documentation.

Yeah, that caught me out sometimes to.
 
Check out Daryl Cousins resource on this, it also has a lot of the possible css properties at the end.

Thank You Richard.

With the information that you provided concerning the purpose of the .css
part of the DynAPI I was able to find the err of my attempts.  Thru quick
testing I was able to find that the .css layer is not available until after
the layer has been added.  This allowed me to create the font functions that
are not included in the layer class.
