it's not just the support of the method, it's also the object that the
method is attached to.
if IE attached it's "DOM" methods to other objects then required by the DOM,
it's not supporting the DOM. and therefor should not be looked at as a DOM
compatible browser because the DynAPI couldn't wouldn't work on it.
