Uhm, Doug.. basically Michael is making a perfect point..

if you want to discuss things, great, but please come up with more pros or cons towards an idea instead
of adding the basic "well said"..  If people complain so much on how things should be done, then show
the code, show what your idea is

I mentioned it before: there's way to much discussion by people that don't do things but only discuss and apparently
know how things should be done...

You we're the own getting "angry" on my rambling of only 3 guys doing the main work...with main work I mean doing
the coding, not helping with discussions or anything, but actual coding, documentation, etc...  taking part in discussions
, and only taking part in the discussing, is not helping out especially not if all you have to add is "well said" and "not well said"

...damn, I was planning on leaving these things alone.. guess I cant :(

This is just getting silly.  I'm almost at a point where I'll just remove my patch and ask that no one ever use it.  If all it is going to cause is this bitching and moaning from theoretical programmers, I don't see much point in making any effort in posting my patches here.

Instead of just posting "well said", how about actually helping out his argument.

I've said it before and I'll sat it again.  If ANYONE can come up with a method of getting NS4 to act the same way as IE and NS6, send it on in and I'll shut my mouth.

In the mean time, stop talking about an imaginary scenario and look at using my patch as a EXISTING method of getting cross-browser similarity.  Has anyone heard of the term LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR?

I have read them all and think that maybe, just maybe someone might consider
doing it instead of arguing over the fact that it is not provided by default.

If in fact the DynAPI is supposed to be a cross-browser API then it needs to
be treated as such.  Instead of saying that browser x doesn't provide
something as a default behavior when all the other browsers do and using that
as an excuse to cripple the other browsers why not try and research if
browser x can be made to do the same as the majority.  I would think that we
would want to make the API function like the majority of browsers rather the
minority.
