I was looking at the changes in CVS and I can't figure out why we
changed all of the function calls to pass a parameter. This makes it
very difficult in the future if you want to modify any of these calls
or to override specificCreate again. Why not use a global variable
(say DynLayer.resizing), that would be set in the resizeHandler and be
unset at the end of the function.
