yeah i know, i followed the thread as well. what i thought was in the 2.6 preview there isn't any deleteAllChildren() afa i can remeber, i've read that ie Dan commented the unload handler out. that’s why i thought it might not be necessary anymore.
anyway, i'm gonna make some tests with ie5/mac and the unload handler, see if it should be excluded. (doug, remember to reply to all when replying to dynapi-dev-list, otherwise it will only be sent back to the sender.) /martin > -----Original Message----- > From: Doug Melvin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: den 8 november 2001 18:51 > To: martin ström > Subject: Re: [Dynapi-Dev] precreation advantage. > > > >when i reloaded the test-page in ie5 mac it throws an error, > >"out of stack space" i belive it's the deleteAllChildren() in the > >unloadHandler() that's causing this. the unloader has generated > >errors in ie5 mac for me before so i think be better exclude the > >browser from deleting all child-objects > >(do we have to do this at all? does it really free memory?) > > It most certaily is neccessary..
