affects: IE 6 on NT,XP,98,2000   I am asking for help, but it is also a dev issue.. I have an image. I have some text. I place a layer over said image and text and assign a mouseclick event to the cover layer.   Problem: the image and text 'show' through the layer.. no that's not right, it's more as if the layer is tranparent to mouse event in areas where there is text and an image. if I click at the very edge of the layer where there is no text or image, the click get's fired.   I tried setting the ZIndex. I even colored the layer red to see if it was somehow behind the text (it was not).   I should mention, that the mouse cursor changes to an I beam as if there was nothing between it and the text.   I put this out to you guys as this is really messed up and no good and all that stuff
