Nah, MS isn't afraid of much. But they'll watch new technologies, and if 
they get too popular, they co-opt them. "New! MS-SVG! With lots of 
time-saving features that aren't in the W3C spec!". It doesn't take long 
before there are tons of web interfaces written which will only work in 
IE6, because the author gets addicted (read "lazy") to using those 
time-saving bits.
