Peter,
as with any opensource project, interest comes and goes in waves.
The main thing that causes forward movment is people specifically requesting
a feature,
or reporting a bug. (Or one of the developers get's an idea)
Most of the recent development has been focused on the aspect of
client-server communication.

To get 3.0 to a final release requires three things:
1) bug hunting/fixing: best accomplished by looking at the bug reports for
2.x and
testing those bugs in 3.0, and patching them in 3.0

2) documentation, the library has drifted quite far from the documentation.

3) widgets!!! we need the widgets from 2.5 ported to 3.0, and a few new ones
wouldn't hurt either.

I have a zipped copy of the richardinfo site at home. In it are pretty much
ALL of the widgets for 2.5
Let me know if anyone want's the zip, I'll put it up for download.

later,
Doug Melvin
