Well now, it seems I still have a problem in forcing a user to download an HTML file to their Hard drive.
By forcing I mean that they should not have to "right click -> save as"
I tried using an anon ftp session but IE still display's the page instead of downloading it.

I am now prepared to go as far as using a java applet..
While normally I would avoid this as MAC IE can't do JS <-> java communication, this is not a problem:
the applet would be loaded into a page prepared by JS to contain all the info it needs to create and save the file.

What I need to know is:
Is there an applet already that does this?
How do I ask the user for security rights?

If there is no applet already, I will trade work hour-for-hour with the person willing to do this.

I like to think that I am an accomplished Client-Server/B2B/B2C developer as well as having MAD VB(Visual Basic) skills,
and a good head for User interface layout and design.
