I have gone about implementing many of the features that I though were
missing or not possible in the dynapi.
features such as:
These can be seem from the very beginning of loading the site. For example, NS has great problems with speed and stability when it comes to using a large number of document.write() calls to include source. Since Java is always available (although not always enabled) in NS4, I am using it to download the content. It is a lot faster and powerful then the stand <script> tags. It has been pieced together over the last 8 month and I have lost track of all the changes. I have to admit that to get such core features to work, it has been at the cost of supporting NS6.0 (6.1+ works) and MacIE (due to M$ not allowing for Java<->JS communication. Since I have focused on specific featres reather than an overall structure, I more able to answer questions regarding particulars but am afriad that an overall comparison has become hard due to my move away from regular contact with the dynapi.
