I'll have to check with my AOL browser
which in general can be slower than usual and also have some Jscript
errors. I had to install AOL (6.0) recently because my ISP went down with
the World Trade Center.
It installed IE 5.5 over my 5.0 browser. It runs it
differently when the browser is embedded in the AOL system software than when IE
is run stand-alone.
It really does do what he said but only in
AOL, not stand-alone IE. The center text does not appear but it does not freeze
the computer.
Re-sizing is pretty common you need to redesign so the
objects are not reloaded just redrawn in the resize event.
- Content layer is where the dynamic body of text
appears, as pulled in via setURL.

I've heard of this kind of thing where AOL doesnt support
certain things, try something other than setURL
