Are you using the latest nightly build?
Nope, I'm not using a recent nightly build. I'm on an old (2.5.6?) version. What's the best way to determine exactly what build I'm on? Anyway, it'd definitely not anything recent.

 I'm not sure why are you using the items[] array, what is the type of
oCallingObject?

oCallingObject is a DynLayer, or rather an object that extends DynLayer.
The reason I'm using the items[] array is because the DynLayer contains 16 objects (for example). 2 of those objects are event layers that I want...wherease the other objects are put into an array so that when I want these I can grab them from that array.
So, when I'm looping through oCallingObject.items.length, the first alert
alert(oCallingObject + "\n" + oCallingObject.items[i]);
tells me I have an object(s) where:
oCallingObject = DynObject.all.DynObject10
oCallingObject.items[i].id = DynObject.all.DynObject13

  So what I'm trying to do in there is say
DynObject.all.DynObject10.removeChild(DynObject.all.DynObject13);
 But it seems like it's not happening & I can't figure out why not.

I didn't overwrite .removeChild() or anything like that (in my custom object).

 Thanks,
 -James
