To Brandon Myers:
Thanks for responding. Can I impose on you once more to
figure this out:
NEW CVSROOT: :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/dynapi
(password authentication)
cvs login
*****CVS exited normally with code 0*****
(Logging in to [EMAIL PROTECTED])
cvs checkout dynapi (in directory
D:\CrossBrowserTools\dynapi2)
cvs checkout: cannot find password
cvs [checkout aborted]: use "cvs login" to log in first
*****CVS exited normally with code 1*****
cvs login
*****CVS exited normally with code 1*****

cvs [login aborted]: authorization failed: server cvs.dynapi.sourceforge.net

newbie
remove the 'd' before the :pserver.. That should do
it.
Hello!
I am relatively new to CVS and I am still having
problems. I am requesting a word from the wise out there on this. I am sure
this is all quite elementary once known.
I have WinCvs 1.0.6 on my NT machine, and after entering
the instructions gleaned from
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=5757
where it says:
=======================
Anonymous CVS Access
This project's SourceForge CVS repository can be
checked out through anonymous (pserver) CVS with the following instruction
set. The module you wish to check out must be specified as the
modulename. When prompted for a password for anonymous, simply
press the Enter key.
cvs
-d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/dynapi login
=======================
I get the following on my screen from cvs:
=======================
NEW CVSROOT:
d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/dynapi (password
authentication)
cvs login
*****CVS exited normally with code
1*****
(Logging in to
d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED])
Fatal error, aborting.
d:pserver:anonymous: no such user
cvs [login aborted]: authorization failed: server
cvs.dynapi.sourceforge.net rejected access
=======================
What am I doing wrong?
---Thanks!
